FleetFit If you make sure that all your fleet cars are roadworthy, shouldn't your drivers be roadworthy as well?
Until now, Fleet Managers have put their efforts into keeping all the fleet cars in good shape. Now, CogniFit's FleetFit offers fleet managers a way to keep their drivers' driving-related cognitive skills in top shape. FleetFit is the total solution and risk management tool for the safety assessment and safety training for professional and company cars drivers.
FleetFit, based on the patented DriveFit technology, is a powerful and sophisticated program that presents a scientifically proven way for evaluating and enhancing driving skills and abilities. Based on extensive testing conducted by leading psychologists, cognitive training clearly revives and boosts the various mental processes associated with driving. These benefits have been validated by independent beta site experiments in the US.
For use on PCs, FleetFit is a user-friendly, interactive program that uniquely adapts itself to the user's specific strengths and weaknesses. FleetFit is composed of an assessment, a training section and a results viewing section.
In the assessment section, participants perform a series of tasks associated with the various cognitive skills employed in driving, such as reaction time, assessment of speed and distance, visual scanning risk taking and others.
The assessment has one other optional section - A behavioral characteristics questionnaire intended to assess the risk taking tendency of drivers.
Results of the 2 sections are viewed on the computer screen by each user at the completion of the assessment.
The 12 cognitive abilities are ranked from strongest to weakest (the drivers 'cognitive profile'). Each of the abilities receives an individual score of 1-5. A '5' score means that in the specific ability the drive is in the top 20% of the norm. A '1' score means that in the specific ability the drive is in the bottom 20% of
the norm.
The overall scores of all evaluated drivers can be viewed only by the fleet administrator. The accumulated results will classify drivers by overall score giving the fleet administrator an order of priority for recruitment, practical training. Periodical use of the assessment can be used for monitoring of driving level.
On the basis of the evaluation, the training section develops a program that enables users to practice the specific skills that need improving. At the end of each task, a graph visually depicts the results while a short description discusses the purpose of the task and its relevance to driving. The pc based cognitive training consists of 24 twenty minutes sessions for an overall training program of 8 hours. The routinely repeated exercises adapted to evaluation results assure more training to weaker cognitive skills while maintaining the level of the better ones.
The assessment analyzes each driver's strengths and weaknesses and pinpoints where he needs improvement. The feedback enables the fleet manager to prioritize training for those most in need and serve as basis for behind the wheel training (if necessary and available).
The fleet manager can keep track of the driver safety records and driver performance, and can use FleetFit to reinforce his driving skills.
The DriveFit technology was awarded the prestigious Prince Michael International Award for Road Safety for its outstanding contribution to road safety in the UK.
CogniFit's products are designed to enhance cognitive abilities thus improving the quality of life. The tasks are user-friendly and interactive. To sample tasks from our programs go to the Demos introduction page or go to a specific task.
FleetFit Perceptual Speed is the ability to perceive stimuli that has been exposed for a short time. In this task you'll be able to test your Perceptual Speed.
Speed Estimation is the ability to estimate the speed of moving objects. In this task you'll be able to test your Speed Estimation.
Divided Attention is the ability to perform more than one task simultaneously. In this task you'll be able to train your ability to divide attention.

" FleetFit is a great tool. All of our truck drivers are required to do the assessment. After seeing the results of the assessment we then decide what type of training the driver needs. It might be on-road or just PC training."
- Phil, US Truck Fleet Manager
"We were quite impressed with the Fleet Fit administrator tool. It allows us to keep track of our drivers' performance. We can decide which drivers need a training boost."
- Steve, Safety Manager
An initial field experiment using part of the MindFit and DriveFit modules was conducted in August 2002. 75 elderly people (Mean age = 68, range 56 - 86) trained 4 times a week for one month.
